MY FAVOURITE HOLIDAY COTTAGES:
Barnfield Cottage is a Grade II listed, large and spacious 4 bedroom holiday cottage sleeping 8-10. It is located in Bratton Fleming, a sleepy rural Devon village on the edge of Exmoor. Barnfield lies within easy reach of wonderful sandy, surfing beaches, miles of moorland and coastal walks as well as lots of attractions for families of all ages.
A holiday in this beautifully restored and furnished 350-year old thatched longhouse will suit large families, or groups of friends for weekend breaks, as well as classic summer holidays in beautiful rural surroundings. Young children and family pets are very welcome.
Barnfield sleeps 8-10 guests in 4 bedrooms and a double sofa bed plus a cot or two for infants if required. It has 3 bathrooms to ensure no queuing for showers in the mornings. A double or twin bedroom and wet room with WC is located on the ground floor for guests who would like to avoid climbing stairs.
The cottage oozes character, with oak-beamed ceilings, wooden floors, flagstones and a large inglenook fireplace with woodburner in the lounge. Outside is a private, secure garden with lawn, patios and off-road parking for 3 cars
Located in the North Devon village of Bratton Fleming, you can enjoy country walks from the front door, through flower-filled lanes, stream-lined meadows or follow the route of the old Barnstaple-Lynton railway line through beech woods. Alternatively, you are within a 20-minute drive of sandy beaches and ten minutes of Exmoor's wild moorland hills and valleys.
